I map the workflow
before I open Figma.
Fifteen years designing enterprise software for the people who use it every day. Medicaid appeals, construction sites, pay cards for temp workers, retail analytics at scale, federal food programs. Pick a project below.

/ how i work
Flow first.
Always.
01
Map the workflow first
Before I draw a single screen, I sketch who does what, in what order, and where the current process breaks down. Most product problems get solved here. You don't need a new screen if you can cut a step.
02
Design the seams
The interesting work sits at the handoffs. Person to person, system to system, app to paperwork. Those are the places where trust either gets built or lost.
03
Prototype in code
I write real code when it is faster than another Figma round. Once you can click a prototype in a browser, the feedback gets direct instead of polite.
04
Ship, then measure
Launch is when the research starts. I put instrumentation in from day one so the team can tell whether the redesign actually moved the number.
